Okay I have absolutely no idea where this week went! Seems as if running  households makes the day go by even faster!

 

Had some storms come through Thursday night but just got an inch of rain.

This morning it was wet out and we got another 1/2 inch. Need to mow but it keeps raining:( No sunshine yet to dry us out b everything is blooming and so green!

 

It was my first week on full time care of the inlaws. Bad day Tuesday but that was due to lack of sleep on my part. I was weepy... hate when that happens! Wwednesday took MIL to Dr. He sent us to ER so spent all day there. FIL stayed home:) After all the tests she had another or never got over her UTI that she had before the trip:( She has a follow up appt on the 23rd. Yesterday was her birthday and we all went to Red Lobster. They sang to her and she had a good time:) Yea!!! SIL is here for the weekend so I am getting caught up on a few things!

 

Should be a quiet week with just Bob going to the vet Wednesday and some of the girls taking me out for Birthday breakfast a few days early:)

Did get a few things done this week:

 

This Andre's Christmas throw.

                              I quilted holy leaves and loops all over.

She also wanted me to make and sew the binding on. She will do handwork:)

Andre's Halloween quilt:)

Just loops all over.

Border had bigger loops and how lucky was I that they were in the orange backing fabric? Never happen again for sure!

Saw I haven't posted my A-Z snowmen blocks in awhile so here they are..

Wow this is my 200th post:)

Also I have been open for business 3 years as of the first:) And I have to say this is the best year so far!! Let's party:)

Ok back to the real world... the family arrived safely on wed. They all drove together... hubby, SIL, MIL, FIL, and the cat:) They said it was a pretty good trip esp since they were hauling 2 87 year olds with problems.
SIL left today so now we are on duty:) SIL did almost everything for them but I don't:) They need to feel like they still can do things for themselves... it makes them feel better and gets them moving around:)They don't even have the energy to go to Walmart:) Yea for that but I have already been twice... I just run in and get what is on the list and head right back out... am going again tomorrow.

MIL finished her antibiotics for a UTI and now is also added diabetic meds...they really make her tired and droopy so we are changing to taking them just at night. She was so much better today... I had a complete conversation with her:) YEA!!!! Her 87 Bday is Friday so I keep getting her to eat and move more so she gets strong enough to go:) I know bribery... hey it worked with the kids:)

I did get a bunch done before they came and everything I have now is no hurry so I don't feel any pressure to get on them right away but I know I will hear them calling me in about a week:)

Ok so enough about me:) Here are the pics you have been waiting for:

Ok this a Trike bra... I know I never heard of that before either:)

You can see that I had to take them apart...

And then recover the logo. This meant new vinyl and I put 2 layers of Easy felt in between. You could feel the old logo through just the vinyl. One with old logo and one finished with the new parts:)

Here they are all finished with the names emb on them:) Success!!!!

I had never done anything on vinyl before but was really surprised how easy it was:)

 

I just SO LOVE this quilt!!! It is a 1930's quilt kit. It came with everything stamped... the white had the quilting lines and the flower placement marked. Even the fabric pieces were stamped.

The quilting was pretty much a no brainer as I just followed the marks... I did use rulers to stay accurate:)

Shirley will do the scalloped binding with the pink from the kit:)

Wish I could find one to finish:) Needless to say I told her it could stay here as long as she needed:) She came the next morning:) ha ha!!!

A baby quilt the gals made. Dot and Elaine are in the group.

Another one:) Others in the group sewed it together and I got to quilt it with loops:)

Pat and I got the Texas flag almost finished for Cathy. We will be at her farm at the end of the month so all that's left to do is the binding and Pat is doing that:)

 

Finally had to order the backing online... love it!!!!

Here is what I put together last weekend:) I bough the fabric in Giddings when our Bee went on the road trip:) I finally got it all together:)

Can you believe its the last day of May already? June is always a busy month with lots of birthdays to celebrate:) And now with the temps creeping to 90 it actually feels like summer. We got a bit of rain yesterday but last week we got almost 6 inches:) yea!!!! Everything is SO green!

Hubby arrived in Florida Wednesday and today he, his sister, the in laws and their cat started their journey to Texas. They should arrive Wednesday evening. Oh what joy:) Yes there is a bit of sarcasm there:) ha ha!!!

I am enjoying my quiet time:)


Here is what I worked on all week.....

First up is Gayle's wedding quilt for her nephew.

Of  course she let me play:)

I used an oval ruler to stitch rings around the blocks and then outlined them

I stippled in the larger areas and pebbled close to blocks.

Then loopys in 9 patches and feathers in border.

And it is reversible :)

This is Marlyn's jelly roll quilt for her gdaughters graduation.

Just loop meandered in the center and feathers in the border.

She wanted me to use blue thread in border.

This is Betty's first ever quilt. It is for her gbaby due in Aug.

Her daughter wanted a patchwork quilt... I think it was a success!

 I made this for my BFF Pat for her Bday Monday but gave it to her yesterday:)

She needed a new clothespin bag:)

Park Bench BOM's.

 

I have a top about done for me and a 30's kit quilt on the quilter. It is beautiful!!!! Lots of ruler work following all those stamped designs... will be worth it!

Hello!

I have been battling it out with TWC to get this Internet working right. They say it's my computer yet if I have their modem unplugged for an extended amount of time everything is just dandy! Not sure what we will do except unplug the modem every night. As long as it works!

It was my 33rd wedding anniversary yesterday:) Hubby took off early and brought me the cutest little bouquet:) Of course with all this in law coming back and then not and then yes stuff we are both just happy to not hear from them yesterday!

Hubby flies out Wed and will bring his FIL and the cat home for sure. The MIL has a Dr appt on Tues? Yes she should of already been since she says she's sick..... not wanting to come is more like it! If she is actually sick the SIL will fly down and stay with her and then fly her back. Have to wait till Tues to s what is gonna happen with her I do know the guys are coming back for sure!

We have a lot of yard work to do and their house to clean this weekend so everything will be ready when someone gets here:) Of course we have30% chance of rain all weekend so we are hoping we are in the other 70% for today only!

Ok now for all my work:)

 

First up is a cute baby blanket for DJ. I just had to embroider the name.

This is Madonna's Iris quilt. So modern!

The sun finally came out for a bit while I was taking this picture:)

I used the Curlz and Feathers panto with a purple thread.( Thank you Jill for making me do that for you:)

Here is the backing... her binding is purple so it is gonna be a stunner!

This is Ruby's peace quilt. She cross stitched it all and nearly went crazy according to her:)

I made them into a quilt for her.

Lot of outlining and loops.

This is Karen B's quilt hat will be donated to a friend's church to be auctioned off. I was still working on the binding last post.

There are machine emb scriptures and 9 patches that have been cut up
