All I can say is WOW!!!!!! What a weekend!

I entered my Whoooolala! quilt in the Shades Of Texas Quilt Show in Killeen Tx this past week and I won a Second Place ribbon, a Judge's Choice ribbon and then the Viewers Choice Ribbon:) Then this morning it was in the local paper too:) SQUEEEAAALLLL!!!!!

I did get some quilting done this week:)

This is from Kathy J from my Bee.

She told me: My sister-in-law found the embroidery among some things that her own mother(now deceased) had done years ago. She didn't know who they were done for, but suspected for her granddaughter Shelley who is now expecting her first baby in April. So the Mother Goose embroidery was done by this new little baby girl's great grandmother. It will be a wonderful surprise when Shelley sees this special surprise quilt. Shelley and her grandmother were very close. Like touching the past with special threads of love. Love stories like this!

I also did a bit of embroidery for Alexis. She then sews minkee to the back and gives them as baby shower gifts:)

Monica finally got her Texas Flag quilt to me!

 

The pokies are because she used a broadcloth instead of a cotton on the backing so the batting pokes through. They shrink back after it is washed.

My splurge!!! I had to have... really I did.... the complete fat quarter set of Angela Walters new line Drifts. I deserved it after the root canal but it also has to count towards the crown:(

I finished Snow Guys or as my hubby calls it Unique Beaks because every snowman has a different orange nose:)

They were all hand embroidered.

I am also getting my redwork snowman wallhanging together:) yea!

Well have a lovely dental appt this week and then maybe my life will get back to my norm:) Have an awesome week!!!!
