Blue Northern blew in!

Hi all,

It is down right cold here in Central Texas today!  It was... wait for it... 80 degrees yesterday until about 5:15 then the wind perked up and it got cold!!!! Was in lower 20's and felt like 3 this morning:( UGH!!!! High today is 43 and tonight down to 19:( Then a nice warm up again. We were lucky we had no moisture in the air or there would of been snow and ice. I tried to catch Baby but she was not cooperating so it was a cold night for her... she still wouldn't play nice this morning so she has been out the whole time. She is feral so I guess she has a place to go?

Since it is now my time to quilt for me I was busy this week! I got 5 done but they were all panto-graphs. I have one loaded for tomorrow that will start the custom quilting:) I am hoping to get 8 done so there will be 8 left in the closet... there is always next year:)

Here are the pics:

I fell in love with this fabric and waited till I found the perfect pattern:)

Love the way it turned out. The quilting is Featherization in a medium grey thread.

Even has my favorite fabric on the back:)

This is a Jaybird Quilts pattern using Angela Walters fabric line.

Used Deb's Swirls with white thread.

Look more fabrics on the back:)

Here is the back first:) Extra fabrics:)

I bought this kit 3 years ago in Houston and had it made very quickly after that. Yes it has sat in my closet that long:(

I used a Frequency pattern with a lighter purple thread. Love the way it turned out!!!

This is a Shadow Box pattern from Missouri Star using Grunge... my all time favorite line of fabrics:)

I used Featherization again with a medium grey thread.

I really think I love the back SO much more!!!!

Okay so I have been keeping this one under wraps... it's my Ombre Hexie quilt:)

I just quilted straight? lines in whatever the background color was.

I SO love this quilt!!!! The backing is Concrete in a purple... also our Guild's challenge fabric next year:)

If you noticed some had the binding sewn on and some did not... well they all do now and I have great cold weather watching tv projects of hand-sewing all of them down:)

I just finished hand quilting my other hexie quilt:)

It was really fun:) Plan to do the binding with more hexies:) New technique for me:)

My first rug is all done:) Love love it!!!! It is so thick and heavy and feels good under your feet:)

Here is Bob doing his don't take a picture of me pose:) haha!!!

Sorry to say Tobi still has not returned home:(

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year!!!!
CYA next year!!!!

I am SO in the Christmas Spirit!!!!

So this is what I got done this week:

This was Nancy's last quilt. Beautiful Lighthouse panel.

It kinda told me how to quilt it:)

Great border fabric!

The back:)

Ruth Ellen had sent 2 Project Linus quilts along with her Mine craft quilt so got them done also.

Judy Mc Project Linus quilt:)

Elaine's Christmas Wall hanging.

It was the last one I quilted:)

Just a sweet quilt!

My 2 Project Linus quilts ready for Pat to put on the binding.

Dot's Project Linus quilt.

I think I can finish my first rag rug tonight while I watch the Cowboys win:)

These are the cookies my grand daughter and I made. Yes I sent them all home with her:) Certain diabetes and dental bills from these:)

Lots of dreary days......

Well the wintry like weather is here or at least the dreary part of it... feel so tired without my sunshine!!! We only got an inch but it drizzled/rained for 3 days so far:( UGH!!!

My daughter was not on campus Monday when the guy drove over and stabbed those students at The Ohio State. SO glad she wasn't there!!!

My BFF from TN has been getting smoke from the fires and rain from the storms but nothing serious! She lives in Knoxville. She say the ski ride we rode last year is gone in Gatlinburg:( We do have pictures to remind us of our great day!!! Poor TN!!

I did get some quilting done this week:) Only 2 more customer quilts and then a few Project Linus quilts. Then of course a few of mine and then I will shut down until next year... sounds SO far away doesn't it??

Here is what  got done this past week:

This is Brenda's Charm Square Christmas quilt for her Sister.

I used gold thread throughout and did swirlys in the blocks:)

And it's reversible:)

This is Tricia's t shirt quilt that grew and grew:) I know we have all been there!

Just stippled all over

This one was my favorite!

And love love the backing!!!! Will be shipping it out Monday:)

This is one of Nancy's It is all flannel and I am guessing for a man?

I stippled in the big green border and then went custom after that:)

Here you can see the green stippling.

This is Nancy's Tumbler quilt all done in Batiks.

More stippling:) Used a variegated thread.

Simple backing.

I was working on my rag rug last week when this happened:) Too funny!!!! She kept trying to catch the strips and finally just barged right through the whole thing:) Haha!!!

This is how far I have gotten so far;) Will work on it some more today:) I had run out of blue t shirts strips so had hubby cut me some more. The bag is full so off I go again:)

This is a busy week with quilting to finish, cookie exchange with my lunch-bunch group and our bee is having their second annual sock exchange and potluck:) Lots of fun!!!!

ope you are getting all your projects finished and still taking time to enjoy yourself!!!
Have a terrific week!
