Hi Everyboody!

Hope you all have all your Christmas shopping/sewing all finished:) I do!!!! Yea and it's all wrapped too!

The studio is officially closed for Christmas break:) I have one more quilt I am sewing the binding on and I will be completely finsihed! No pic of that one since it's just a bunch of squares so this is prob my last post for the year.

Here are pics of what I did work on this week....

First is a table runner from Linda C. She already had it made so I quilted it finished.

I got to play:)

Here is the back showing my playing:)

This is a family Apple tree quilt. A first for Pamela:) She and her mother and MIL worked on it for over a year and I got to quilt it for them.

You can really see the quilting on the backing. They will present it to the head of the family for her 82nd birthday:)

Here are the 3 Lil Twister wreaths I made

One for my MIL

One for me:)

One for SIL

Here is the Bunny Hill Snowman BOM all done except of course for the quilting:) There is always next year!!!!

I am working on the pumpkin BOM now so hopefully it will be sewed together before next year:)

Hope EVERYONE has a safe and MERRY CHRISTMAS and Happy New Year!!!!

Happy Sewing!!!

Dec 8, 2012

Hi everybody!

Christmas is sneaking up on us rather quickly:)

I am done except for a few gifts to finish up:) No tree this year as we will be in FL at the inlaws and with the babies I do not want to go through all the hassle of prying them out of the tree:) We always go buy a fresh one every year. Just love the smell!!! Don't have to much trouble with the needles dropping after we found out that after you get it setup and fill the container with water use a liter of clear soda instead like 7up. The tree sucks that up and the sugar keeps the needles on laonger:) That has really helped!!!!

Ok onto quilting:)

I had posted the first picture before I ran out of memory and am now about finished with the 3rd of the wreaths:) Am still addicted to the twister rulers:)

This is Christina's quilt. She used a panel in the center and then scraps all around:)

I just looped all over. Very colorful and a neat idea!

Another one of Christina's. This is actually hers:) A cute table topper.

I got to play

 A sweet tablerunner from Christina:)

LOVE LOVE this one!!! Christina made 2 of these and I was lucky enough to quilt them for her:)

Of course I got to play:) yea!

This is another one of Shelley's Sports quilts.
It is a cheerleader quilt. What fun!

Yet another sports quilt. All about football:)
Love the referee fabric as sashing!

Had to quilt a large football in the plain blocks:)

This is a wallhanging from Quilt'n Country. Gayle wanted me to "Lou" it:)

                                             What fun I had:)

Here is the back where you can really see what I did:)
Another sweet sorority quilt from Cam. Found out that she is giving these all away to a sorority sister as a secret pal and the big reveal is coming up with this quilt:)
I looped in the green and pink and then outlined the tshirt logos.

Another beauty from the sewing room of Dot!

This stunning batik squares quilt was quilted with my favorite pantograph.

Well that should have everyone caught up:) I still have one tablerunner and a big quilt to get done before shutting down for the holidays:) Also found out my new frame for the quilter will be in Winsboro Tx on Jan 8 and then they will set up a day to come and set it up for me:) Yes I am excited!!!

Also please sign up to receive the emails or join so whenever I update you can keep up to date with me:)

Okay now get back to sewing/quilting!!!!!!

This is Shelley's tennis quilt for her grand daughter:)
I just looped all over with a variagated thread:)

Do you remember all the stockings I quilted for Christina? Well she brought these 2 over so I could show you how they turned out:) Cute!!!!

This is Linda's Gingerbread man quilt. She is still a beginner but did an awesome job!!!
She let me play so there was a lot of outlining and thread play:)
                                                   This is the back.

Another quilt of Linda's. Love the idea of putting borders around a beautiful piece of fabric:)

Here is a closeup of the thread play I did:)
