End of September

Hard to believe tomorrow is October! The leaves are falling... mostly due to no rain.. and the temperatures are dropping...lower 90's now:) LOL! Surprised some states got snow! Wow!

It was yet another busy week...

Monday clinic appt...I am all good:) Go back in 6 months. Also loaded and started quilting
.
Tuesday quilted:)

Wednesday quilted in the morning and finished the quilt:) Then met with Rosemary in HH to see
Downtown Abbey movie. Not as good as I had hoped but was fun!

Thursday was errands day and loaded another quilt

Friday I quilted some but allergies were really hitting me hard so finished early.

Saturday Hubby and I vegged out in front of tv watching movies and I did handwork.

Sunday the granddaughters and their parents:) met us at theatre in town and we watched Abominable...such a sweet movie! All the adults got teared up:) Then they came over and we spent the whole afternoon with them...we were exhausted and the cats were mostly hiding. Calli seems to be traumatized the most. She keeps running from window to window this morning and meowing:( Guess she is looking for them and telling me to not let them back in:) LOL!!!!

I don't know if you guys know but my MIL house is right next door to us. So we watched the new owners move in and Hubby helped them with the riding lawnmower on Friday. They are mostly quiet ..which is good as they both work and the kids are in school:) I haven't met them yet.

So on with the pictures:
Fran made this Wedding Cake quilt all from batiks.

Love all the colors! I made layers in the cakes and curlz all around.

Great backing!

I have another finished but it is for her birthday party next weekend so you will have to wait on that one:) LOL Linda!
Have a great week...I am home only 3 days this week and we will be on the road next weekend so I might be late again:)

Sept will soon be gone....

Isn't it funny how as you get older...yes we all do:(...the time seems to go faster and faster? As a kid Christmas seems like it took F O R E V E R to get here and now it seems like it was just a few months ago and now it is fast approaching again! Ok enough about our age:)

Our Guild mtg was Tues night and we held a garage sale...I sold a few items and so did my partner in crime Kathi D:) LOL! It was a lot of fun!

Thursday was the supposed day of closing on MIL house and guess what? It actually really happened:) We are both so happy to be done with it all! We have decided we are going to die in our house and let the kids sell our house because we do not want to go through all that again!

Then Friday was the first day of our new Bee: Busy Bees :) Lots of fun, laughter, and hugs:)
                      Luv those ladies!

I did get some quilting done also:) I just used the computer this week:)

Brenda's crazy quilt.

Love the way the blue squares int eh middle all have different parts of design in them.

Used a blue thread which is hard to see on the backing.

Another one of Brenda's...I call it Trees:) LOL!

I used a snowflake pattern on it...love it!

Really shows on the backing!

A not so busy week this week so have 2 custom quilts coming up so will hopefully get one done and the other started.

Have an awesome week!

Looks like Fall

Hi All,

Beginning to look like Fall here with all the leaves falling. We got a good shower early in the week...had moved my rain gauge so did not get how much:( Maybe next time as we are to get more rain this week:)

Another busy week...seems as if they all are:)

Monday quilted in the morning then hubby and I went to SS office. It is getting close:) 44 more work days. Tuesday quilted in the morning and then had lunch bunch. Wednesday Rosemary came over and we went to lunch then to QIY for stash enhancement:) Thursday was errands...haircut, groceries, and massage. Friday more quilting:) Yea! I also quilted on Sat...computerized.

So here is what I got done:

Hereis the back of Erlene's Cacti quilt.

And ta da here is the front.

I snuck in a spiderweb and a spider:)

There are 2 dragonflies here...somewhere:)

Just a few close up shots.

Two butterflies are hiding in here.

Another closeup.

And the last closeup. Lots of prickly things were happening! And I didn't get stabbed once:)

A Project Linus quilt.

New computer design:)

Finally got one of the Chemo quilts finished.

Another computer design...one of my all time favorite pantos Featherization. SO glad they had it digital!

Summer has returned!

All I hear about on TV and radio is pumpkin spice this and that??? I am not a fan but it usually signals Fall is around the corner...well in Texas that is SO not true! We have a high pressure that is building up all the heat and we are back to 100 degrees:( Good part...less mowing...bad part...hot!
Oh and Ragweed is out big time:( Yes my Fall seasonal allergy is already kicking me in the butt:(
NP gave me a presc for FloNase and it is helping but the headaches are still here:( Go back on the 23rd and will see if I can get presc Zyrtec.

So the week went really fast!!! Monday was a holiday and I took it! Turned into a sick day sadly. Tuesday and Wednesday I quilted. Thursday errands. Friday mammogram and Handsome had a vet appt. Saturday I quilted some more.

House update: We were to close on the 12th but....it got pushed to the 19th. Had electrician out yesterday doing all is repairs on the amendment statement. He has one more thing to do and I need the contractor to come back and fix some small things. At least it is almost over!!!! Well at least I hope it is!

Next week is busy as well...Hubby has only 49 more work days!!! I am really getting excited for him and us:)

This is what's on the frame.

I have been sneaking in some string piecing on Bonnie Hunters Emerald City.

Here is my LaPassion so far. I have 1344 pieces sewn out of the 17000+. Guess that won't get finished this year:) LOL!!!!

Hope you all have an awesome and cool week!

Hi All!!!

What an awesome week and I did actually get a few things done:) LOL!!!

Monday was vampire day...had my blood work done...Tuesday Missy came to set up my computer to quilter:) Wednesday I ran errands and then played:) Thursday KoKo had her yearly vet appt and I had a massage:) Oh and I played! Friday...well I played:) LOL!!! And the same for the weekend so far! I am about done with edge to edge for a bit! I have the quilter ready to work on some custom this week.

There are a lot of pictures!!! So I better get going!

Dazi before Missy.....

My long practice piece. Learned a lot and also did a few things wrong but that is part of the process!!!

These were all designs that came with program except ones that I bought. I have now purchased 2:) They are like machine embroidery designs...you can never have enough:)

In fact I think that because I know how to do Machine Embroidery helped me a lot!

I picked up a  few quilts from Dot to practice on real items.

I think this is a table topper for Christmas.

I did ornaments in red thread.

Next is a sweet Kitty quilt for PL.

Yup stitched kitties:)

Didn't get it quite lined up correctly...had to go read manual...I know I never do that:) LOL!!!
I always say directions are suggestions but this time I actually did read:)

Next up was a Western quilt also for PL from Dot. You can see the pattern that it is stitching out.

Hubby has found his retirement job...watching Dazi work while I sew:) LOL!!! He was mesmerized!
You can also see some of the wires and the tablet setup that are new to Dazi.

All finished with a boots and cowboy hat pattern... the second one I purchased:)

Nice closeup of quilting. I used King Tut variegated thread on this one.

Can't see much on the back though.

Last one from Dot for PL.

Turned out okay but I had pattern issues...knew what I did after I started but hard to fix...oh well practice makes better...never perfect!

I used a pattern called Jesters that I purchased.

So everything is ready for custom quilting starting Tuesday...tomorrow is a holiday and I plan to sew sew sew!!!

I will still be doing mostly custom but am now ready for more edge to edge for some of my quilts and donation quilts. I know one day I will not be able to stand for hours custom quilting so I can still get mine out plus maybe hubby will get the hang of it and start doing some?  Time will tell....only 54 more work days for him!

Have an awesome week!!!!
