End of March is fast approaching!

While the North and West are still in Winter we are in deep Spring! The temps are climbing into the 80's and it is lovely! Everything is blooming:) I think this is my favorite time of year!!! The allergens have been low but the Ragweed has a slight presence:(

I did get some quilting done this week along with my Bee:)

So now onto pictures:
This Ruth Ellen's Bargello quilt.

LOTS of custom quilting on this one:)Was a lot of fun especially the filler in the background... had never done anything so free style before.. will do again.
There are feathers, swirls, paisleys, and pebbles scattered throughout the background.

A red backing really showed off the quilting:)
Remember you can click on the picture to make it bigger:)

Pat made this as a wedding gift. A nice Oriental panel.

Just quilted golden loops all over.

Love the backing made with the leftovers:)

Just back from celebrating the granddaughters birthdays. One is 7 and the other will be 3 on Tuesday. Skating.... had a lovely meal at Gattiland and they went roller skating. I knew ya'll would be VERY upset if I skated and hurt myself,  which there was a 99% chance of that happening:( So I observed on the sidelines and caught the almost  3 yr old when she tried to wander too much:)

MIL is in hospital with another UTI and dehydration. They tried to gt an MRI yesterday but she fought them so much they were suppose to do it today and sedate her:( Told hubby he was battle tested for spending time with the 3 year old today:) LOL!!!!

We are to get a bunch of rain this week but I am okay with it because I will be quilting:) YEA!
I can't work on Millie until I get a fat quarter in from Etsy... I cut some wrong and am too short to continue:( I do have other projects going so not gonna waste my time:)

Hope everyone has a great week and stay warm, dry, or cool:)

Happy Late St Patty's Day:)

Hope everyone wore their green yesterday?? My family is Scottish so no green for me:)

What seemed like a short week turned into an even shorter one with the time change....UGH!

Had Lunch Bunch this week and also had to take a sick day.... called the boss and she said to stay at home so I did:) HA!!! Cedar attacked me pretty good... it is now out of the allergy report and I am feeling much better! This will last until the Cottonwood blooms:) I know always something!

Well I did get a bit done anyways....

Marylyn made this wonderful Texas Flag quilt for her son in law for his bday next month.

Lots of fillers... curlz, stippling, swirls and mini loops along with the beadboard border.

Nice closeup of quilting.

Western backing is perfect!

Millie rosette #6 is moving along nicely!

I had forgotten to post this picture last week... it's the backing I bought for my Bee quilt at the Dallas Show. Now to find time to finish it:)

We had a Spring.. really?... storm come through last night. Mother Nature was pretty angry! Lightning, thunder and lots of wind and rain... in fact the rain was going sideways. We got 1/2 in and yes more water in Studio but I was prepared:) I have moved one of the cabinets out of the corner that leaks and put a cart that rolls there instead. The cabinet was starting to fall apart with me moving it all the time:( I think I am ready for more whenever it comes now... will get hubby to reseal everything when it dries up.

No work on bathroom this week as we are still waiting for plumber to call back... glad it's not an emergency! Will call a different one tomorrow.

Had the heater on at the beginning of the week and now the AC is on... just Texas weather around here ya'll:)

Have an awesome week!!!!
Have Guild and Bee this week.

Spring has started to show:)

Hi everybody!

What a busy week... I got to quilt 2 days, had the We Care Bee and then on Friday Pat and I headed to Dallas for the show and stayed to do the MABD on Sat. BUSY!!!

So I did a few items quilted:

Huong made this one for her niece.

Kind of an I Spy:) We used Modern Squares pantograph in light grey thread.

A nice comfy flannel for the back.

Elaine made this fall quilt .

Love the batiks she put in it.

Quilted loops all over.

My Millie rosette #5 is finished:) #6 is started and will be reds.

Elaine also made this snuggly flannel quilt.

I quilted curls all over.

Love the backing!

A male chemo quilt is all done.

Quilted loops and stars all over

LOVE this backing!!!

The new Tula is in my house:)

Made this chemo top at the We Care Bee... they supplied the kits and we supplied the labor:) Still needs to be finished but it's not due till April... wow....that's next month:)

My goodies from the Dallas Show.... lots of Kaffe for my Millie and the spray bottle is awesome!!!

And while we were in Dallas we got to deliver the secret quilt to Judy:)

Pat made this one using a Tula jelly roll:)

I just looped all over:)

Hopefully this next week will be quieter:) Only Lunch bunch and hopefully get a plumber to check all the plumbing the back bathroom since hubby got all the tile and sheet rock removed. It is all pretty much original so we thought we would rather be safe them sorry!!! Hope to get the sheet rock up next weekend:)

Have an awesome week!!!
Things are starting to bloom around here:) Yea!

March has arrived:)

The temps have warmed here in the South and the storm chances are on the increase:( Had a rough one come through Wed night with lots of thunder, lightening, and 3/4 in of rain most of it going sideways:( Did get a bit in the studio and had to clear out one of my cabinets and gave it away. It was getting pretty unstable with me moving it all the time:( I have ordered a 4 shelf cart that will be on wheels so took care of that:) So when this front blew through it kept blowing in Thursday and I was in it most of the day running errands and by the end of the day I was miserable:( Carried on through all day Friday until I started feeling better Sat... thinking cedar allergies:( UGH!!! Oh well life goes on and I will be back at the quilter Monday:)

Did get a few items done:)

Mary from our Dallas group mailed this one to me to quilt:)

Has a lot of fun playing:)

And you can see it on the backing:)

Such sweet kitties!!!

Judy Mc's Texas Flag.

Did you know it was Texas Birthday on March 2?

LOTS of free motion quilting!!!

I made this... excuse me Bob!

For my daughter... she is  a big Jane Austen fan and attended the birthday party last year and is returning this year:) The pattern is from Elephantz... you can find all her beautiful patterns on Craftsy:)

Short week with a Bee mtg and a trip to Dallas Quilt Show:)
Ya'll have a terrific week!
