Cold and rainy:(

What a few miserable days we have been having. Was in the upper 70's Thanksgiving and then Friday the temps dropped all day:( UGH! And rain.... that slow dreary drizzly stuff:( Need some sunshine soon!!!

Hubby and I ran off last weekend to San Antonio and stayed at the Drury on the River walk:) VERY nice hotel and was just 11 minutes away from the concert we attended. Newsboys, Hawk Nelson, and Ryan Stevenson. Christian artists:) Also had great BBQ and visited an Irish Pub:) Lots of fun!!!!!
Then back to reality:( ha ha!!!!

I was a busy bee this past week after spending the entire week on one quilt.

Finished up some table runners on Bianca:)

Bob keeping a close eye on me:)

Blankets for Seton Hospital.

Hexie top all finished!

Closeup of extra stitching I did.

Yes 32 bobbins and they all went into the next quilt.....

A beautiful applique quilt from Patricia from Kerrville.

Was beautifully made!

I did all filler....

You can see all my work on the back:)

Marylyn's Sunbonnet quilt..

She is SO cute!!!

Turned out really sweet!

Marylyn's Texas quilt.

She said all the other gals had just loops and stars all over theirs... well hers is special!

love when I get to play:)

She is giving it to one of her sons:)

This is Baby. She is a stray that made herself comfortable on Bob's bed. They are such good buddies!!! Tried to catch her last week to get spayed but failed:( Will keep trying!!!!

Bianca stitched these out:)

Got my Dec and Jan Bertie blocks all finished... hung the Dec one up today:)

My Sunday sewing project. The pattern is Lanterns and the fabric is Barcelona. Waiting for more fabric for backing:(

This was a Jenny of Elephantz stitch along. Turned out beautifully... waiting for the wooden hanger to be made:)

This is Becky's snowflake quilt. I think either her mother or sister made many many years ago,

I got the privilege to quilt it for her:)

Just learned how to quilt those snowflakes:) Perfect timing!

Another Jenny pattern.

We put Christmas decorations out today and I discovered that I need no more table runners, wall hangings, or pretty much anything:) In fact went through everything and got rid of a bunch:) Hubby took a bunch to MIL to decorate her room:)
I have one more quilt in the closet for Christmas but know of up to 4 that should come in this week:)
That will be the end of Christmas take ins. They were already on the list:)
I got daughter's Tardis quilted and will post next week for all to see;) Then maybe one or 2 of mine???
We are not exchanging gifts with anyone this year... sure takes the stress out of everything!!!!
In fact we kinda skipped Thanksgiving and treated it as a Sunday... lots of football and sewing and pizza:) Worked SO well will keep it as a new tradition!!!
Work hard this week as December will be here Tuesday!!!!
Sending all a big hug!

Busy Busy!!!!

Hi everybody:)

The Christmas season is here for sure! They are playing Christmas music in the stores and everybody has the decorations and foods out. We are not exchanging gifts this year so I have no pressures:) Have nothing made anyway:) Just been way too busy quilting!

Take this week... I was home all but 1 day so got a lot done:) This coming week I will only be home 2 1/2 days so not much will get done:( I will probably be working on the same quilt all week so do not despair if there is no blog post next week. We are going out of town for a few days also:) A nice Bday getaway for hubby:)

Okay enough babbling:
This is my Sunday quilt. I have been sewing on Sundays in the house watching football with hubby so am accomplishing something and being with him:) I bought all the fabric when I was in Chattanooga. Have another started today:)

Nancy made another Batik quilt as a gift for her brother in law. I SO wanted to feather it to death but since it was for a man I changed design plans;(

Hope it's manly enough:) It is a Celtic pattern.

Love the braid as a border! Have to remember that!

Gorgeous backing fabric!

Linda W is having her first great grandchild so this is quilt #2:)

Once again butterfly panto in pink.

Backing is a grey flannel. She said the baby's room is pink and grey. Yup a girl:)

Dot made this adorable Snowman quilt.

It is the Disappearing 4 or 9 patch. Can't remember:)
The fabrics all looked so familiar... oh yea I had given them all to her when I cleaned out my snowman stash:) Yea something was made from it!

Backing looks so nice with the loops and snowflakes I free motion quilted all over:)

Megan's Patriotic block exchange quilt.

Yes you have seen this one before. It was raffled this weekend at the Officer's Wives Bazaar.

The back:) Nice quilting... wonder who did that? snicker snicker

Jill made this very modern yoga mat for her daughter in Law.

First time I ever quilted straight... okay kinda straight lines:) She wanted some wonky and I did that without even trying:)

Here is the back... love it!!!!

Signed up for this BOM for next year:) Need to get this years finished!!! Only 1 block set and the background to sew and it will be finished:)

Enjoy your week... get that sewing done...stay warm and dry!!!!

Fall has finally arrived and is staying:)

Well after getting 12 1/2 in of rain in 2 weeks the temperatures have been staying low:) upper 40's at night and upper 70's during the day:) Purrfect weather!

Have been staying home more again this past week so getting lots done:)

This is the first machine embroidery I made on Bianca. It is the Tardis from Dr Who. My daughter loves that show! It is a little crooked but it has gone through many years of time travel:)

Marlene from CA sent me this beauty to quilt!

I SO love negative space!!!!

Of course am very tired of swirls right now:) ha!!!

Oh look it's reversible:)

Sue made this sweet  Pumpkin Seed quilt.

Love the bright colors! Her granddaughter helped pick all the fabrics:)

Great backing fabric!

Megan is leaving us next month:( Her hubby got orders to Korea. She is planning on mailing me tops:) yea!!!

Monica and Carola made this sweet friendship wall hanging for her.

The Texas fabric is perfect for the backing!

Here is my plan for the quilting on my Challenge quilt for the Guild. Stuck to it mostly:)

Here is just a peek at it:) Will show more after the voting is over. Have to turn in on Thursday and the voting is on the 17th:) Wish me luck:)

This is the first of Nancy's quilts that has been dropped off:)

Love the batiks in this one!!!!!

She wanted me to do my thing:) ha ha!!!

Hopefully this week will be another successful quilting week! I will once again be home for most of the week:)
Hope you are getting everything made you are working on!
