Almost June:)

Hi All,

We have a new platform to work on with this Blogger. Hope it all goes ok today!

So it was a busy week here at the Million Cat Ranch:) LOL! Feels like tht some days!
Monday a few of our Bee gals met at Simply Fabrics/Quilt Barn at Homestead in Waco. It was raining cats and dogs and all the other animals but Rosemary did a great job driving! The shop recently moved from a smaller location to this wonderful barn so they are changing their name to The Quilt Barn. Appropriate! We shopped, lunched, and shopped some more at the little specialty shops. A great time was had by all and it felt so good to hug and visit! I miss that SO much!!!

Tuesday the concrete was poured and yesterday the forms were taken off. We have to stay off driveway until Thursday with the cars but we are walking on it:)

So then the rest of the week I quilted the panel and then got 2 of the chemos quilted and bound:) A nice week of accomplishments for sure!

So on with the pictures:

Here are the goodies I bought at the quilt shop:)

Here is the panel I have been quilting for a few days.

It is from Moda... gosh look at all those pebbles :)

Lots of outlining, freemotion, and a few feathers thrown in to keep me honest:)

The wrinkles are from being rolled on frame.

Feathers!

Here is the back. Beautiful!

Here is chemo quilt one all done.

Closeup....used an E2E called cinnamon.

Back.

Second chemo.

Used E2E design Simple Baptist Fan. It was not simple!!! The machine was not happy and either was I but I pushed on and looked up other quilters as I threatened to trade her in.

It didn't turn out to bad but to get where it is took way too much effort!

Here is the back entry to my house. Instead of a big step I now have a ramp.

My new sewer cover.

The front of my studio with the new wall to keep water out. The newly redone chairs are also  there with new cushions.

Our new driveway.

So another busy week of computer quilting is coming up:)
Have an awesome week!

Only 1 more week of May!

Hi All,

We celebrated our 39th anniversary yesterday with take out and nothingness:) LOL!
Wanted to go out to eat at Hubby's favorite Catfish Parlour but it is an hour away and if I went I wanted to shop...could only go to quilt shop with an appt? Had no clue how Joann's was going to be so we just took a rain check and stayed in.

We did however talk to the concrete guy and they started today:) We are getting our driveway redone. It is original and was really starting to deteriorate.

Here is how it looks now. Hard to see but there is a sewer manhole to the right. Will call the city to look at it on Tuesday. He couldn't do the rest of the prep because tomorrow is a holiday. If it doesn't rain like they are predicting but changing every hour it should be poured on Saturday:) They also took the old basketball goal pole and the cinder block wall down for us. He is also going to try and get something done with my ever leaking studio. Happy Anniversary:) LOL!

Hubby worked most of the week stripping, priming, and painting the studio. Looks amazing and SO white:) LOL! Still has trim work to get done then I will post a picture.

So there was a bit of quilting and a lot of don't wanna this week. I would come in the studio get the machine ready and sew a few blocks and then I was done? Not normal for me but I think I am ready to live again!  BFF came over Friday and we went to the quilt shop and drive thru for lunch. It was just good to talk to someone and get/give hugs!
I had quite a few people through the studio this week... nice to have company!

Okay what I did get done:

Jill's modern quilt.

I E2E a circle design in black thread.

You can kinda see them on the back. She doesn't know what side she will be using but is thinking table topper.

Another PL

Pink E2E swirls.

What is on the frame now and forever!
It took me 2 days to get almost halfway. Lots of outlining and pebbles. It is a panel... 56 X 77 by Moda. She wants double batting so it will definitely have texture when I am done!

Here are the Glitter blocks I have made so far.

And the chemo blocks are my leader enders.

I also started the commissioned memory quilt.
Need client to pick sashing fabrics and then back at it.

That's all for this week... next week a road trip with friends:) YEA! and who knows what else:) LOL!
Have an awesome week!

May is still here:)

Is it me or does it seem this month is lasting too long?? LOL!

I guess I am ready for everything to open back up so we can back to a new normal.

I felt like this:
So was VERY happy the salons were open again!

Got some quilting done, took a sick day... allergies... actually went to Hobby Lobby. The lines were long and some people were wearing masks and most weren't:( I don't mind wearing the mask to keep others safe. But I am a bit upset when I see a family with 2 smaller children and all are not:( At least keep the kids safe!

On with the pictures:

Got the new SD card so here are the PL's we did a week or so ago.

Turning 4 pattern and E2E quilting.

Another Turning 4.

With a great hexagon E2E pattern.

Another one:)

Puffy clouds E2E quilting.

Here is my quilt inspector hard at work:) That is the Burnet box...he loves to sleep in it.
Bob in a box!

Ruth Elen made this split panel quilt.

I think it turned out pretty cool.
I pretty much outlined a bunch of the snowflakes and tree.

Put the extra special quilting in the blocks.
White snowflake fabric for backing.

Tree closeup.

Bob hard at work yet again:) LOL!

Daughter posted this picture on her FB page. All dressed up and no where to go:) LOL!

I have a Chemo quilt cut and have started sewing it together. And I also started Jen Kingwell's Glitter quilt. Always sewing something:)

The grand daughters are coming today for a visit.
Enjoy your week!

Happy Mother's Day:)

Hi All,

Both kids called today so I am happy:)

It is an absolutely beautiful day here today! Yesterday was the same! The cats are enjoying bird tv as all the windows are open:) Yup that kind of weather! Have to enjoy it as the blazing heat will be here soon enough!

It was mostly computer quilting this past week.

So the SD card in my camera broke so all these are from my phone. There were a few on the camera and I can't figure out how to move them so will retake pictures when card comes in tomorrow... hopefully:) They were finished Pl's.

This is Kathy J's beauty:)

She always does such nice scrappy quilts!

We used an E2E design called Breeze with a variegated thread. Really shows up on the grunge backing! ANd she found a stripe in her stash for the binding. Perfect!

A PL all finished:)

E2E quilting with paw prints:)

A Dr Seuss PL. It was a panel of different book covers... a Burnet box item. I cut them apart and sewed the borders around them. All from my scrap boxes.

E2E design Bauhaus Baby.
Love the crazy backing fabric Pat picked! Used it as the binding also.

This is Margarets sweet quilt.
She is trying to get enough quilted by Christmas to give to a Children's home.

We E2E with Fast Feathers. You really can't see it unless the light hits it just right.

My Bonnie Hunter Mystery Quilt Frolic is ALL done!!!

Love how it turned out!
Will wait till my bedroom is repainted before putting it on the bed.

My Backing. Used an E2E design called Deb's Swirls.

Another Chemo top finished:) I still had all those churn dash blocks made so another quilt it is:) I went to QIY yesterday and bought backing for both quilts. Now to get the batting cut and get them in line:)

I have a custom to get loaded and started tomorrow... that should keep me busy this week.
I am also cutting out another chemo quilt with more civil war reproduction fabrics. I had way more than I thought:) LOL!

Have an awesome week!!
