Happy New year!!!!

I see on a lot of blogs that they are picking a word for the year... I think mine is Finish.... that could of been last years word also:) ha ha!!! My goal is to quilt 3-4 customer quilts and then one of mine:) That is what I mean about finishing:) I can't fit any more of my flimsys in the closet... so I can either stop sewing... NOT!... or start quilting more:)

Ok so now for the show:

The cat quilt is done... well of course except for the quilting. Love this one!!!

My Flowering Snowball made with Cotton and Steel fabrics. All hand pieced.

Hand basted... haven't done that in a long time!

Here is how my lap looks pretty much every night... KoKo "helping"
me hand quilt. Love that we can make big stitches... I remember when I used to quilt the required 10-12 stitches per inch. WOW!!!

Since my daughter has been accepted to The Ohio State I thought she needed a pillow:) They are headed to the Championship game on the 12th:)

My first customer quilt for this year..... Cam made this great baby quilt!

She always lets me play... she likes to just give it to me and tell me when she needs it by:)

Of course I had fun!!!!

Another baby quilt from Cam.

Had to think a bit on this one... can you see the longhorn in the white square??

The back.

I had a bunch.... prob about 10 Project Linus quilts that have been patiently waiting to be quilted. I usually don't take to many pictures of them but I love this one!

Judy Mc made this one and I followed the stamped dots for the quilting.
I did a total of 6... only 4 to go:)

My Comma quilt:) Used Fat Quarter Shops free pattern.

Quilted using the Modern Squares Panto in lime green thread.

I used Sharon Schambers technique for the binding. Looks SO much better than what I used to do! No wavy edges for me!!! That was a recurring remark from the quilt judges.Oh and I also used the Binding tool.

My Bargello all done... of course needs quilting. Love the borders!!!!

This is my next project from Missouri Stars magazine. It will be the Illusions quilt. I am using my Grunge layer cake.

MIL update:) Hubby has been taking care of her since the 26th. Mostly she takesw care of herself and he just checks on her and takes her to eat and to Bingo. She came over on New Years and ate with us:) So far she is doing well but then I am not spending a whole lot of alone time with ehr.

Enjoy your week!!!
