Daughter and hubby had a 2 hour layover in Houston on the way in and another 2 hours on the way back... they have vowed not to fly United again! They were here for 9 days and I was SO happy we had the MIL house for them to stay in!!! They could come and go as they pleased and so could we:)
Hubby had the week off also so lots of quiet time for us both:) There was NO quilting that whole week:)
I did however get back to it last week and got just the one done.... between the Juniper... code name for Cedar... and hurting my back again I was slow moving!
The weather man was finally correct:) We have an undulating winter so we wore shorts one day and sweaters the next? Crazy!!! It has been in the low teens at night and low 30's during the day all weekend... of course will be in the 70's in the middle of the week. Just crazy!!! Have run both the AC and the heater these past few weeks:( UGH!!!
Oh an update on Baby... we did see her go into the cooler that we made a hole in so there was a warm space available:) yea!!!!
Ok onto some pictures:)
First up is one of my favorites... I used all my Pearl Necklace prints in it.
It has been hanging in my closet for a few years:( I did pebbles in the pearl blocks and swirls in the grey.
Used leftovers and Mini Pearl Necklace fabric on the back. Love the binding of all the prints:)
Finished up the last of the ornaments:)
Emb 20 bibs for a customer. Told her I won't emb for the public anymore.
Got 3 Project Linus quilts quilted:) Pat will bind for me:)
And I think this is the oldest UFO in my quilting closet. The selvage on the backing stated 2011. Was a bit windy today:)
Well it is now quilted:) yea!!!! That is hubby holding it for me today in the lovely sun:)
Back inside so you can see the stitching better.
This is the center square. All hand embroidery and very small Dresden plates.
The sides had big feathers quilted in them and the triangles had half a circle of feathers in them:) Some of the outer Dresdens are hand embroidered and some are fabric but all have yoyo's.
This is a Crabapple Hill pattern called Susan's Dresden Garden. Here is the link to hers... she had it all in blue: http://www.crabapplehillstudio.com/susan-s-dresden-garden.html
I am loving the way it turned out! Will probably put away for a grand daughter when she is married:)
Busy week this week with Lunch Bunch, going to McKinney on Friday and Saturday and also I am back open starting tomorrow the 9th. I have a quilt already loaded to start on tomorrow:)
Hugs to all!!!
Hope we all have a wonderful year!!!
Forgot to add Kitty pics:)
I think they all love this quilt too:)
