With the great coronavirus pandemic going on what are we to do??? Sew and quilt of course!!
This has been pretty much a sick week...allergies:( As soon as it looks beautiful and green outside we know that the new pollens are exploding! All we can do is continue our allergy meds and do what we can. If we are dizzy we sit and if not we sew or quilt:)
I did have lunch bunch this week and it was lovely:) Had our normal errand day and then there was the Dallas Quilt Show we had planned to go to but it was cancelled. We had already decided on Thursday not to go since our heads were really not clear enough to drive in Dallas. Am disappointed for them and all the vendors and quilters! Have already heard that the Georgetown show has been cancelled as well.
My oldest granddaughter has a dance competition on the 28th in Bastrop but I am thinking that's not going to be happening:( I really wanted to go to Buc-ees:) LOL!!!
I am amazed at the stupidity of the people! Do you really need 200 rolls of TP? They are all panicking while we bought our normal pack...nothing extra for us except I got an extra loaf of bread and jar of Peanut Butter:) LOL!
Well I did get some quilting done this week:) YEA!!
Elaine made this sweet Mickey quilt as a gift.
I just looped all over with red thread.
Cute backing!
This is a PL I was asked to quilt.
A lot of extra work was done on this one. Hand emb., ribbons, buttons, and even a rhinestone.
Did ruler and free motion quilting.
Love the backing fabric:)
A PL panel.
Just loops all over:)
Fran made this beauty:)
She used wool batting so it really poofs!
Feather wreaths in all the blocks and I just followed the design in the border fabric.
Great texture!
Poor Judith... my black Featherweight...is sitting out most of the time waiting for me to get time to sew and was getting a bit dusty so I made her a cover:)
I had ordered the Singer fabric from Etsy and used it to make a few Featherweight bed covers and had some leftover. The machine was a machine embroidery design I found online.
The pattern was a free one from Kaufman fabrics.
Not perfect but very useful!
And my barn art was ready. We picked her up in Lampasas on Wednesday.
Don Pullen from Barn Art by Don made her. He was at the Burnet Show and I ordered her then.
Sorry about the dreary picture... the hydrangea are not yet starting to show leaves.
Enjoy your week!
Sew sew sew!
Quilt quilt quilt!
And stay well!
