Ac on again:) haha!!!

Well true to form the temperature has changed:) It was in the 50's last weekend and upper 80's this weekend... we even set a new record high on Thursday of 91??? WOW!!! Wonder if we are the only state that has the AC and Heater on at the same time??? I think we had the ac on last year at Christmas:)

Busy week here.... lots of quilting and of course we had Bee this week:) I only need 40 more blocks for my shirt quilt:) yea!!!

So here are the pics:

First up is Mary's Round Robin. We did these last year where the technique was selected and you did your own row:) This way you get a quilt you love:) Mary out did herself!

There was piecing, applique, paper piecing, embroidery, and embellishing.

Was fun to do and every one was so unique! Mary's was fun to quilt because each row was different:) Keeps me very interested! I did a lot of ruler work and curlz:)

She had a scrappy backing which is always my fav:)

Brenda made 2 Sunbonnet Sue quilts for her nieces.

Great job using all those 30's fabrics!

Love the backing!

Notice they are facing opposite? Great idea!

I quilted swirls, curls and some ruler work:)

Same backing... don't want anybody mad if they are different:) haha!!

She also made this blue quilt. It was a kit she had bought from a now closed local shop a few years back.

I love all the blues!!! Just loop meander all over... way too busy for anything else!

Great backing!!!

Found this design on Urban Threads and had to have it! I made this towel for my daughter... it was a saying we had when she was growing up... can you get it? Guess What Chicken Butt? haha!!!

Another Bee block finished... the next one is very detailed so will take awhile plus I am working on the next 3 Spargo birds... they are red:)

Only 1 more round to go on this rosette:)
Wonder what the dominate color will be for the next one????

Did not go to Houston this year:( But had quite a few friends go:) There is always next year:)

Have an awesome week!!!!

What an example of pure artistry. Mary's quilt is an original design with great detail and the execution of skills beyond my wildest dreams. Surely a piece of art to be treasured and admired for years to come.
