Love this cold front!!!

Do you believe it was in the 90's the last 2 days and the high today is in the low 70's??? Just amazing!!! Love having all the windows open! And so do all the furbabies! Live tv for them:)

This week went really fast... but then they do that right? Had Bee on Friday and got to make more of the shirt blocks.... it is slowly getting done:)

Today is an odd day in the Hubby went to the NHRA drag races with some friends and left at 5:30 and probably won't be back until 10ish... the odd thing is I have a whole day for me:) No feeling like I have to be sitting with him watching tv so I got to pick whatever I wanted to do:) So I sewed:) I know!!!! No quilting either! He took tomorrow off because he knew he will be wore out so no quilting tomorrow either but I will be with him:)

So what did I sew you ask? I have 2 kits sitting around that have been talking to me and I have played with them both but could not make heads or tails of either.... one is a Man Chemo kit and the other a boys PL kit. The man's chemo is a panel + lots of other fabrics... I played until I got this:

I have been wanting to try the window pane look:) Am happy with it and there was fabric for the backing and binding in the bag:) SCORE! All I added was the solid brown for the window. Oh and the binding is made:)

This is the PL one..... the person who donated the kit had the center block and one of the corner blocks made. I fill in the rest:) I only added the solid yellow around the blocks.  There was fabric for the backing... not sure about the binding fabric yet need to see what's left after the other top is made. There were scraps left and I have them on the design wall with kind of a plan:)

Sure is nice to just throw directions to the wind and play:)

So I did get some quilting done this week:)

This is the second Jungle Animal quilt from CA:) Marlene made hers a bit different but still turned out just too cute!!!

Lots of quilting, fillers, and outlining.

She used minky on the back and it really worked well... the little dots pop wherever there is no quilting... I like the texture of that!

Elaine made this ABC Snowman quilt all in red work.

Just mostly outlining and snowflakes as the filler...

You can see the curlz from the border.

Here is the center of my next Millie block:) Fun huh???

And also another Bee block all stitched out:)

Not sure how much quilting will be done this week with hubby home one day and guild mtg one night....I know at least a bit:)

On a sad note:( Our eldest cat has gone missing:( He has been preferring to stay outside on the front porch lately but had been moving around a bit more... back yard and in MIL yard. He was home when I left for Bee at 8:45 on Friday morning... we haven't sen him since:( Buster has been on skin allergy meds and has a very rapid heart beat and is also deaf:( He will let anyone love on him so I am afraid either someone picked him up or he got chased by a dog? He is chipped and we have had no calls yet:( He is 13 years old. We are still hoping he will show up but everyday it becomes less sure:(Keep him in your prayers please:)

Hope you all have a great week!
